Anti-Bride Featured San Diego Wedding

Lindsay + Chris got married in February, 2025 - their day was perfectly tailored to them and their crowd - in the most authentic way. We were so proud to have the Anti-Bride’s stamp of approval on this one!

Getting Ready

The morning of the wedding has such a special energy — a mix of a million emotions. I loved being there as Lindsay and Chris got ready, surrounded by their favorite humans. There were emotional moments, laughter echoing through the room, and a kind of soft quiet that only happens in those few hours before everything begins. These are the in-between moments that always feel the most personal to capture.

The Bridal Party

This group brought so much joy and support to the day. You could really feel the love in every interaction — they clearly aren’t just friends, they are chosen family.

A note on the groomsmen outfits from the groom: “Right before finalizing our florist’s contract, Lindsay & I realized that we didn’t actually want boutonnieres…instead, I searched Etsy and found a set of lapel-chain pins for myself and the bachelor party to wear. Theirs all had black gems, while mine had a white one.”

Details

I always love starting the day by photographing the details — those intentional pieces that tell so much of the story, and bring back so many personal memories. From the invitation suite and florals set-up, to the rings, shoes, and heirlooms — every item holds meaning. It’s all in the quiet beauty — the textures, colors, and subtle elegance that tie everything together.

Ceremony

The ceremony was incredibly meaningful — so full of emotion and presence. Watching Lindsay and Chris lock eyes as they saw each other down the aisle, and listening to their vows detailing their invisible-string meeting story... it was one of those moments where time slows down just a little. You could feel how deeply everyone was connected to what was happening.

Portraits

This part of the day is always one of my favorites. It’s a chance for the couple to step away from the chaos and just be together. We found a quiet spot with beautiful light, and let them soak each other in. The way they looked at each other, the laughter, the quiet in-between moments—it was all so natural and full of feeling. These portraits are soft, romantic, editorial, chic, and so full of heart.

Cocktail Hour

Right after the ceremony, guests headed into cocktail hour, and there was such a warm, celebratory buzz in the air. We took time for family photos while everyone else sipped, mingled, and settled into the joy of the evening. The light was beautiful, the energy was easy—it was the perfect transition into the celebration.

Reception

And then... the celebration really began. The reception was filled with so much love—from heartfelt toasts to dance floor magic. The room felt like such a true reflection of Lindsay and Chris: warm, joyful, cheeky, and characteristically intentional. I’m a party-girl at heart, and there’s no better party than a wedding reception. The dance floor was, ironically, the most “anti-bride” part of the wedding. They listened to all of the alt-rock, pop-punk hits of the early 2000’s - head-banged and mosh-pitted to the sounds of their memories with these friends. It was electric, and for me, incredibly life-giving. Ahh, I love my job.
