FAQs

  • I charge travel fees on an individual basis based on what it costs me to make the trip happen! Usually thatā€™s the cost of a flight, hotel, and transportation.

  • I add the travel fee on to the second payment of a package, after Iā€™ve booked the travel and know how much it cost!

  • Yes! For potential travel clients, Iā€™ll do a quick google on what the flights and hotels look like in the general location around that time of year, and give an estimate based off of that.

  • Everything outside of San Diego County :)

  • Short answer - Usually not!

Long answer - I determine the travel based off of what I end up paying for the travel itself. In order to make it fair for both of us; I want to not overcharge you, or underpay myself! I canā€™t book the travel until the retainer is paid on the contract, so within my system, it just doesnā€™t work to do charge beforehand!

The exception is for travel fees that are charged locally to California where I will not need to ā€œbookā€ anything. I.e. I charge travel fees for Joshua Tree, LA, Malibu, Santa Barbara, etc. But if the timeline does not require me to stay the night, Iā€™ll drive home and the travel fee is flat!
