Seaside Forum Beachfront Wedding

Scripps Seaside Forum is a venue unlike any other in San Diego - it provides a grassy space actually right on the sand, so both a beach and a backyard atmosphere can be reached at the same time. Jacqueline and Anshul have a deep love for each other, and second to that, is their love for Southern California. (California forever goodbye!) This venue is the perfect ode to our sunny days and ocean mist nights, and so was the design for this wedding. For the ceremony, they let the location speak for itself, not bringing in any extra decor besides the bride and groom themselves. The floral choices were stunning yellow arrangements that brought maximum impact, and were a perfect ode to San Diego’s never-ending fields of yellow flowers in Bloom season. With nods to Anshul’s Indian heritage and culture, this was the most beautiful blend of cultures and intentional details.

As an art-focused wedding photographer, I’m drawn to weddings like this — celebrations that feel both grounded and elevated, where every frame tells a story of connection, place, and meaning. This gallery is a love letter to film wedding photography and to the kind of day that reminds us: beauty often lives in the most familiar places.

The Rehearsal Dinner

They chose their favorite neighborhood Cafe as the perfect location for gathering their family and loved ones, welcoming them to San Diego, and beginning the weekend’s celebrations.

Getting Ready

Jacqueline got ready at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe with her mom and sisters. Though there was no formal bridal party at this wedding, they took intentional time to spend with their closest friends and family throughout the most important moments of the day.

Ceremony Decor

With a stunning chair choice (from Event Party Rentals), the iconic La Jolla Shores as a backdrop, and the most iconic floral installments by Best Bud Florals - the stunning details from the ceremony portion of the day came together seamlessly.

Bride and Groom Portraits

This couple did not have a first look! Before the ceremony started though, we were still able to snag some stunning bright daylight photos of the two of them. While sunsets on San Diego beaches are absolutely iconic, if you actually live in San Diego, most of your time spent at the beach is during the bright daytime hours with our famous San Diego sun. I felt that this was the perfect ode to our real life in San Diego.

Ceremony

A short and sweet ceremony was done by a close friend, and one who understands perfectly both a love for California and the start of a family that is a blend of cultures. It was the perfect ceremony! Jacqueline chose to wear her blusher veil through the whole ceremony, allowing Anshul to unveil her right before their first kiss. It was such an elegant and stunning touch to the look of the ceremony, and was such a stunning moment to add to the first kiss.

Family

Without the first look, we were still able to get most family photos and moments before the ceremony, just separately! After the ceremony, we were then able to get the finishing touches on family photos that included both sides of the family.

Cocktail Hour

Celebrating over charcuterie and cocktails, with sun and surf, is always a great idea.

Sunset Portraits

As the sun begins to set, I love that at Scripps Seaside Forum, we get to easily run down into the sand and have some fun sunset photos that feel free, and romantic. One of the most iconic details of this day was definitely Jacqueline’s flower purse, in lieu of a bridal bouquet. Again, thanks to the best of the best - Best Bud Floral.

The Dinner

With cultural dances, sentimental family dances, good food, and tight hugs - dinner was shared at two long banquet tables as the sky turned into a painting above the group.

The Party

And then, there was the party.
