Kayla and Simon are from Germany, as were most of their guests. They had gotten married at a stunning European elopement, but Kayla’s dad is American, and she grew up partially in Southern California, so they definitely needed to have a big wedding celebration here! It was so beautiful, and was so special to use the wedding as a nod to her American side, without forgetting the Eurpoean touches - what a perfect way to celebrate with all of her American loved ones!
Khyra Beaucrest took my breath away - quite literally. It feels like you’ve transported from Southern California to the French countryside with the short distance of the driveway. With shocking hill-top mountain views, and all of the in-home details you could only dream of, it is definitely one of my favorite wedding venues now. The ranch is giant, and made such a good whole-weekend experience for this wedding.
There were literally so many places to take photos on this property, we only hit the tip of the iceberg. I could shoot a wedding here every weekend, and still get photos that are totally unique - I love that about a venue!!
The stress of this day was at an all-time-low. Maybe because they had already gotten “married”, but I think that being surrounded by only their favorite (very supportive) people in the world was what did it.
The images from this day are extremely film-inspired. The colors, the location, and the ease of the day all contributed to filmy candids, and plenty of in-between moments.
