I’ve been dying to get down to this beach for FOREVER - but every time it might be an option, it ends up being high tide, and I end up not being able to get to the beach! But this shoot finally ended up on a day/time that was low tide, and I made it down to this beach! It was so gorgeous. I love a good beach engagement session. 😍

For their second location, they chose to go to Harbor Island (by the airport) with a gorgeous view of downtown! After a few things happening after another, we ended up not even getting to the second location until after the sun went down, so we ended up having a little

cloudy blue-hour session with the glowing lights of downtown San Diego in the background! That obviously called for some flash moments, which was SO fun. I’m such a big fan of flash photography 🤩 I also loved having a casual look for the beginning of their shoot, then ending with a dressier look - it went with the flash so well!!

These two are getting married in Cabo in a few months, and I’m SO stoked for them!! We tried to choose locations that had that beach-y San Diego vibe, to fit along with their Cabo wedding, without matching it too much! (Sometimes it’s fun to use your engagement session as a way to get photos that are going to be a different vibe from your wedding… so you have some variation in images for decorating and use down the road!)
