Northern California Winery Wedding

Marisa + Steven are your classic 2020 Covid Wedding story.

They had to change their wedding/elopement plans several times before landing on a plan that worked for them, their loved ones, the community, and the fact that THEY JUST WANTED TO BE MARRIED ALREADY!!!!

These two decided the final plan would be a destination winery wedding at Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin, California. So, I booked my flight, my hotel, my rental car, and off I went, to Northern California!

When I arrived to San Jose, I went straight to the hotel to shoot Marisaā€™s Boudoir Photos. Marisa has done some modeling work, so shooting her is an absolute BREEZE. She was so fun to hang out with, and we got some absolutely amazing boudoir photos of her as a gift for her soon-to-be husband.

While they were at their rehearsal dinner that night, I hopped in my car and drove to Big Sur! I had never been there before, and it was definitely on my bucket list, so I HAD to!! It was gorgeous - I only wish I had booked a shoot out there to have some beautiful people to capture! Working on manifesting a client booking me for Big Sur in the future!

The wedding day itself could not have been more perfect - it was beautiful NorCal October weather, everything went perfectly, and everyone was absolutely stoked to be there to support Marisa + Steven. Although they only had their closest family and friends there, it was still a large group of people, and I was SO excited to be at a wedding that felt semi-normal again!

2020 was the year of small elopements for sure. Everyone was so supportive, and there was something so special about there only being their closest and most important people - it kept the wedding day vibes so intimate and happy!

Something that stuck out about this wedding to me was the details. Sadly, Marisa recently lost her mom, and that was such a hard thing for her that day; getting married without being able to share the day with her mom. I know this is so much more common than it should be, and as heartbreaking as it is, I think Marisa did a really wonderful job at honoring her mom - for my future brides that might be in a similar situation, I hope you can be inspired by the little ways in which Marisaā€™s mom was honored. Youā€™ll see some throughout the photos ā¤ļø

Every part of the day was a tailor fit to Marisa + Steven, every aspect honored their love and their relationship. Steven is a big goof ball, and Marisa is an actual angel. These two are SO meant to be, and I was absolutely HONORED to be the one to capture such a magical day. This wedding day had me on top of the world, and all fired up for all the romance. Iā€™ll let the photos speak for themselves :)
