Sunset Cliffs Engagement Photos
California, Artistic, Movement, storytelling, Honest, Paradise
Sarah and Kevin live in Ocean Beach and they wanted their engagement photos to be significant to the life they live every day. They own a golf cart that takes them along sunset cliffs or to the beach almost every day. We kept their engagements photoshoot true to what a Friday night might actually look like for them.
The idea of photography documenting life as it is is something I have become passionate about. With social media and comparison running rampant in our society, itās far too common for photography to be used as a tool to make life look better and more beautiful, more perfect, than it is. The thing is, is that itās far too easy. A camera is a magnificent tool and can alter reality in whatever way we want to - and thatās not even touching the possibilities of photoshop.
Hereās my thingā¦ life IS beautiful. This world is absolutely STUNNING. I want to capture THAT. Sarah and Kevin actually live in this beautiful place, and see it every single day. I want to capture that for them. They spend their days doing these activities, and I want to capture what that looks like for them too.
Beyond setting and situation, I want to also capture their relationship as it is. Engagement is a short phase of life, and I think thereās a special love that is unique to that phase of life. Sarah and Kevin are meshing their lives together, in the middle of planning an amazing celebration of their love, and preparing to commit to each other for forever. Those things bring out emotions in a relationship that are so fun to capture, I hope you can feel their love for each other through these photos.
Welcome to another day in Paradise.
